Discovering Your Type


Answer all the questions for both your Disappointment Style (page 1) and your Coping Style (page 2) before you add up your scores. Consider your thoughts, actions and behaviors for your entire life, not just your most recent behavior. Rank each statement for how strongly it describes you. If you behaved one way when you were a young adult in your early 20s but would act differently now, answer the way you would have in your 20s. Use this scale for ranking all of your answers:
  1. 1 — I don't agree with this.
  2. 2 — I agree with this sometimes.
  3. 3 — I often agree with this.
  4. 4 — I very much agree with this.
  5. 5 — I agree with this always.
